If your goal is to end up in Kanazawa, these are the closest international-capable airports. This will mean that you will also need to plan to get from your landing destination to Kanazawa and our suggested accommodations.

Just as a reminder, you will most likely lose a day going to Japan and you will gain a day going back home due to time zone differences. We suggest you arrive in Japan by 4/4/2025 so you can arrive comfortably in Kanazawa by 4/5/2025 at the latest, the earlier the better.

Section 2. Getting to Kanazawa

Once you have landed in Japan successfully, you will need to get to Kanazawa in the west side of the country. You can plan to stay in your landing destination as long as you’d like, but we recommend arriving in Kanazawa on 4/5/2025 at the latest.

We recommended two different airports to fly into Japan. To get from those airports to Kanazawa, you will need to either take the train or another flight. We highly recommend taking the bullet train to Kanazawa as it is an experience many tourists enjoy.

Section 3. Transportation & Accommodations in Kanazawa

Welcome to Kanazawa! We suggest you go straight to your lodging accommodations so you can put your luggage away and relax. We also suggest you take a taxi from Kanazawa Station to your accommodations. Taxis will be readily available at the station.

Accommodations

We suggest that you stay anywhere near the Kanazawa Train Station or near the Omicho Market where the Bride’s parents reside!

We recommend you book your accommodations as early as possible prior to your trip so everything is taken care of when you get there. Here are our top recommendations:

We will provide a complimentary shuttle to the wedding venue on the day of the ceremony that will have two pickup locations, that we will specify at a later date. One of the pick up locations will most definitely be the Kanazawa Station. If you decide to stay somewhere else, you will need to get to one of the pickup locations to use the shuttle. You also have the option to take direct transportation from your accommodations to the venue but that will cost you extra.

Train and Bus Information

  • Navigational Guide: We recommend using Japan Travel by NAVITIME, a convenient guide to find the best plane, train and bus routes for your travels throughout Japan.
  • Rail Pass: We recommend using the “Welcome Suica”, a convenient, prepaid, tourist focused train and bus pass by Japan Railway (JR) that can be used all over Japan. Please visit this link for more information.

Cell Service Information

If you are looking for a SIM card that uses Japanese cell service, we recommend Mobal.

Otherwise, your phone carrier will have an international plan that you can switch over to while you are visiting Japan.

Section 4. The Wedding Day

On the day of the wedding there will be a complimentary shuttle to pick guests up from two pickup locations. One of the pick up locations will be the Kanazawa Station.

The wedding will be held at the Lala Chance wedding venue, Kanazawa location, at 11:30am. We will provide more information about pick up times for the shuttle and the second pick up location as that becomes available.

To give you an idea of what a typical Japanese wedding is like, you can visit this link for more background information.

Once the wedding is finished the complimentary shuttle will take you back to the designated drop off locations where you can return to your accommodation.

You have the freedom to enjoy your trip as you see fit but we will have other optional activities planned for later in the evening that you can take part in if you wish. We will share more information about those activities as they become available. We look forward to celebrating with you!

Section 5. The Venue

Our wedding will be held at the beautiful Lala Chance venue, at their Kanazawa location. This venue has multiple chapels and banquet halls to pick from and our ceremony will be held in the Saint Soleil Chapel. We are looking forward to sharing more details about the ceremony as they become available.
